These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RealDex mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

RealDex provides wildlife identification and collection features using on‑device machine learning and optional Cloud AI identification. The App may display ads and offer paid subscriptions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. License and Ownership

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non‑commercial purposes.

All intellectual property rights in the App, including software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks, are owned by us or our licensors. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the App.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or its services.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code (except where permitted by law).
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, subscription checks, or security features.

5. Cloud AI Features

Some identification features use Cloud AI. When you choose to use Cloud AI, your image is uploaded to our servers and processed by third‑party AI services (Google Gemini). Results are best‑effort and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials

6.1 Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, and managed through RevenueCat. Prices and billing terms are shown in the App.

6.2 Auto‑Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

6.3 Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

6.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We do not directly process refunds.

7. Ads

Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. Ad content and availability may change and are subject to third‑party policies.

8. User Content

Photos and encounter data you create remain yours. By using Cloud AI, you grant us and our service providers a limited license to process your images solely for identification and service delivery.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use data. By using the App, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

10. Third‑Party Services

The App relies on third‑party services including Google Firebase, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play, and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies.

11. Safety and Field Use

The App is for informational and recreational purposes. Do not put yourself, others, or wildlife at risk. Always follow local laws and safety guidance when observing animals.

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

Species identification results may be inaccurate or incomplete.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from or related to your use of the App.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or operational reasons.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide notice in the App.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Republic of Turkiye, without regard to conflict of law principles.
